With the current uncertainties and challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, and after
lengthy deliberation, the Camarillo Wings Association, who produces the airshow, decided to
postpone the 40th Wings Over Camarillo airshow until next year, 21-22 August 2021.
The duration of Ventura County’s Stay Well At Home order, as well as the potential California
State social distancing requirements, are unpredictable at this time. Therefore, the Camarillo
Wings Association felt obligated towards their attendees, in addition to their partners, sponsors,
performers, and vendors, to make the announcement to postpone the airshow now, rather than
having to cancel at the last minute.
It will be the first time in 40 years that Wings Over Camarillo has not taken place at the
Camarillo Airport. This year, as in previous years, there were plans for thrilling aerial
performances, pyrotechnics, classic cars, STEM pavilion, as well as local vendors, food trucks,
and craft beer. Plans are already in progress for next year’s show to be even bigger and better.
John Lowe, President of Camarillo Wings Association, stated, “Wings Over Camarillo has been
the premier Ventura County airshow for the past 40 years, and the decision to postpone was
tough to make. However, we are determined to make next year’s show the most memorable yet.
We will be sharing more information about the show later this year. Wings Over Camarillo will
continue to be an event for the whole family.”
Please save the date 21-22 August 2021.
