Static Aircraft Display Models

Aircraft Display Models: Static Display Only

At the Wings Over Camarillo Air Show, visitors will have the opportunity to see performers, walk around a wide array of static aircraft display models, sign up for airplane and helicopter rides, along with hands-on experiences for the whole family. Besides all the planes that are flying, we are planning on having the following military aircraft on display:

  • USAF/ANG - Thunderbolt II; The Republic A-10 Tank Killer, is the USAF Close Air Support Aircraft of Choice.
  • USAF - C-17 Globemaster; The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is a USAF strategic and tactical air-lifter in current service.
  • California Air Guard - C130J Super Hercules; In continuous production longer than any other military aircraft, the C-130 has earned a reputation as a workhorse ready for any tactical airlift mission, anywhere, anytime.
  • Palm Springs Air Museum - C-47 Skytrain; The C-47 Skytrain first flew in 1941, served in every theater in WWII and is still serving around the world even today.
  • US Navy - F/A-18 Hornet; The F/A-18 is a twin-engine supersonic all-weather carrier aircraft designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft with speeds up to Mach 1.8; also used by Navy’s Blue Angels.
  • US Navy - E-2 Hawkeye; The E-2s are the eyes (radar coverage) for the US Navy Strike Groups at sea. Stationed at Point Mugu and supporting the Pacific Fleet, the E-2 has been commonly referred to as the "Hummer" because of the distinctive sounds of its turboprop engines, quite unlike that of turbojet and turbofan jet engines.
  • US Army / National Guard - UH-60L; The Black Hawk is the workhorse of Army Aviation. Flown by the Army National Guard.
  • US Army / National Guard - CH-47; The CH-47 is the large people mover for US Army Aviation.
  • USMC - AH-1Z & UH-1Y; The Bell UH-1Y & AH-1Z – are used by the USMC. With updated air frames and state-of-the-art avionics, they have been a mainstay of Marine Corps aviation since Vietnam. Now with digital glass cockpit, new weapons systems, higher thrust engines, and 4 rotor blades, they are in front-line service.
  • US Coast Guard - HH-65 Dolphin; • HH-65 Dolphin is the mainstay of the USCG Search and Rescue Helicopter force. Now based at NAS Point Mugu.

(All static displays are subject to operational requirements.)
